Tropical Cyclone Yasa has been upgraded to a Category 4 system.<\/p>\n
The system continues to intensify and could even reach Category 5 by the time it reaches the Fiji Group.<\/p>\n
The centre of TC Yasa is expected to pass between the two main islands by Thursday.<\/p>\n
From tomorrow evening, winds will pick up to about 55km\/ph gusting to about 80km\/ph and continue to increase as the cyclone nears Fiji.<\/p>\n
By late Thursday, as TC Yasa comes closer to the Fiji Group, wind speeds will increase to 175 km\/ph gusting to 250 km\/ph.<\/p>\n
A heavy rain warning is now in force for the Yasawa and Mamanuca group, Eastern half of Viti Levu, Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands.A heavy rain alert is now in force for the rest of the Fiji group.<\/p>\n
